Terms of Use
Effective 6 September 2026
These terms describe the current use of My Home Desk, an operating name of Michael Orloff Consulting, based in Manitoba, Canada. Questions can be sent to support@myhomedesk.ca.
Current access
My Home Desk is currently available only to our own household through administrator-managed accounts. Public registration is disabled. These terms do not offer a public subscription or paid service.
Your account and records
- Use your own account, protect your password and recovery codes, and report suspected unauthorised access promptly.
- Only access records you are authorised to use. Do not attempt to bypass permissions, disrupt the service or upload malicious material.
- Only upload documents, images and contact information you are entitled to store and share. You retain your rights in your content; storing it allows the service to process and display it for its intended household use.
- Check the accuracy of assignments, inventory quantities, dates and maintenance records. Keep separate copies of essential documents.
Maintenance safety
Tasks, templates and reports are organisational aids. They are not professional inspections, certifications or a substitute for manufacturer instructions and qualified advice. A completed checklist does not establish that equipment or a property is safe.
Assess each job before starting. Follow current manufacturer instructions and applicable requirements, and use a qualified professional where needed. Do not rely on a task reminder for emergencies or safety-critical monitoring.
Availability and changes
The service may be interrupted for maintenance, technical faults or security work. Features and these terms may change as the household service develops. No uninterrupted availability or recovery time is promised.
Access changes and privacy
Administrators may change or deactivate access when household membership changes or to address misuse or security concerns. Existing shared maintenance history may remain. See the Privacy Policy for information handling and requests.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Manitoba and Canada. Nothing here excludes rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
